Brief on Omeda Studios
Founded in 2020 by Robbie Singh, Andrea Garella and Steven Meilleur, Omeda Studios is a game studio that creates community games. The company’s first title is Predecessor, a MOBA third-person action shooter that’s currently in development for PC and console.
Predecessor has already amassed a devoted following of over 35,000 followers on Discord and well over 100,000 signups before its debut. This is a MOBA game that uses resources from Epic Games’ own MOBA Paragon, which the creator of the Unreal Engine decided to shut down in 2018. Epic Games has made these resources available to developers for free.
Predecessor is a free online multiplayer Battle Arena game for PC and console. You and four allies join arms in battle as you fight for battlefield glory against enemy heroes on a traditional 3-lane map with interactive jungle, monsters and more.
According to a statement from the company, Predecessor will be released in Early Access later this year following the success of its latest playtest.
Community and investor support
Robbie Singh said, “We have decided to increase our A-series to accelerate development after the success of our previous playtests; however, we weren’t just looking for money. Most important to us was finding a partner who shared our vision of how we wanted to make games and believed in the power of community. When we sat down with Brian Sheth, his team at Haveli, and Thomas Vu, it was clear we all felt the same about the future of games.
Robbie also shared, “Thomas was an integral part of League of Legends and then as executive producer of Netflix’s hit series Arcane, he really showed us that we weren’t just partnering with someone. who had great ideas, but someone who knows what it takes to execute those ideas.
Brian Sheth, Founder of Haveli, says, “Robbie and his team have built an engaged community and game using a player-centric approach that is incredibly exciting and has the potential to quickly become part of the pantheon of great MOBAs. We at Haveli are all looking forward to the big things to come from Robbie and Omeda.
